Nestled in the heart of the park’s wooded wilderness, where four walking paths meet, lies a quiet garden that encourages reflection and interaction. The centerpiece of this area is Anne Wallace’s Glorieta—a series of cast bronze tree sections, crafted from slices of a nearby pecan tree. The bronzes shine amid a ring of native flowering trees, adding vibrant color and fragrance to the landscape.

The term glorieta refers to both a traffic circle and a walled garden of heaven, alluding to the ancient idea of paradise at the intersection of paths. Since its installation in 2006, the hollow bronzes have become playful sound sculptures, drawing children and musicians to interact with the art. The art pieces were thoughtfully integrated into the park, enriching the visitor experience and creating a space where nature, art, and community converge.
