DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: BASURA BASH HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER CONCERNS \nPlease visit our updated event page here for more information! \n \nBrackenridge Park Conservancy is proud to once again participate in the 31st Annual Basura Bash\, hosted by River Aid San Antonio. \nThis year’s cleanup will take place on Saturday\, March 7\, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM\, with volunteer check-in and registration in front of the Joske Pavilion (531 Brackenridge Way) from 8:30–9:00 AM. \nAll cleanup supplies—including gloves\, trash grabbers\, and trash bags—will be provided. Volunteers will help clean the San Antonio River from Hildebrand Avenue to Mulberry Avenue. \nFor safety\, please wear closed-toe shoes (no shorts or sandals). Long-sleeve shirts are recommended. DESCRIPTION:A brand-new destination running experience\, the San Antonio Marathon is crafted to celebrate the spirit and heritage of San Antonio—where every step tells a story. Rooted in the vibrant culture and community\, this world-class event is brought to life through a collaboration between San Antonio Sports\, the City of San Antonio\, Visit San Antonio\, Centro\, and Olympic gold medalist-turned-marathon champion Meb Keflezighi. \nJoin the Brackenridge Park Conservancy on Sunday\, December 7th at our office at 2611 Broadway as we manage Water Station #6 for the first ever San Antonio Marathon! Volunteers will choose between 2 shifts (5am-8am and 7am-11am) to help set up the water station and prepare the water\, and then hand out water and electrolytes to runners as they pass by!
