DESCRIPTION:Brackenridge Park Conservancy is proud to partner with River Aid San Antonio for the 2nd Annual Basura Bash Educational Fair\, a free\, family-friendly event celebrating environmental stewardship and community action. \nJoin us Saturday\, January 31\, 2026\, from 12:00–3:00 PM at the Koehler Pavilion\, Cypress Pavilion\, and Pecan Grove in Brackenridge Park. \nEnjoy an afternoon filled with engaging activities and experiences\, including: \n\n\nLive music \n\n\nA yoga class led by Jess Mrozinski of Black Swan Yoga \n\n\nA bird-matching game hosted by Mitchell Lake Audubon Center \n\n\nThe Salsa Squad (Balcones Invaders) invasive plants game \n\n\nA Nature Surprise Goodie Box from Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalist \n\n\nFood and beverage partners will be on site offering delicious options from Chi Chi Birds Hot Chicken\, Slam Daddy Baddies\, Míra Matcha\, and Fine and Dandy Lion. \nYou’ll also have the opportunity to connect with incredible community organizations sharing their missions and resources\, including Remember the River\, Arboretum San Antonio\, Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance\, River Aid San Antonio\, and Brackenridge Park Conservancy. \nThis educational fair is the perfect way to kick off the annual Basura Bash—you won’t want to miss it! \nInterested in becoming a community partner?Please contact Julian Valencia at jvalencia@riveraidsanantonio.org for more information.
