Article: "Easter in Brackenridge Park"

Thank you to all of the volunteers that joined us in keeping Brackenridge Park clean during Easter celebrations this year. Park-goers were encouraged to use the new blue recycling cans installed since last Easter and the yellow mesh and clear recycling bags distributed by volunteers throughout the weekend. Brackenridge Park Conservancy organized the volunteers to not only distribute the bags but to educate park visitors about the garbage pickup and recycling efforts, resulting in a much cleaner park.  BPC also handed out t-shirts to campers who were recycling at their sites; special thanks to our t-shirt sponsor, the San Antonio River Authority.  Thanks also to Colin McDonald and the Express-News for a detailed piece on why these improvements matter.  Click here to read the article.
