Historic Donkey Barn

The historic Donkey Barn that once housed the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department’s offices is now being transformed into a functional education center and office space for the San Antonio Zoo. Leadership from the Zoo, Brackenridge Park Conservancy, and the community resulted in the San Antonio City Council approving a lease amendment on February 9, 2012 giving control of the structure and surrounding land to the Zoo.
