Reservations

Play and celebrate at Brackenridge Park.

All reservations are made through the City of San Antonio's Park and Recreation Department except for the Japanese Tea Garden. Reservations for the Japanese Tea Garden are made through the San Antonio Parks Foundation.

City reservations can also be made at 210-207-7275, saparksreservations@sanantonio.gov, or in person at 5800 Enrique Barrera Pkwy, 78227.

Pavilion

Cypress Pavilion

Cypress Pavilion is located next to the San Antonio River, San Antonio Zoo, and Koehler Pavilion. It offers a scenic event location with easy access to parking and other park amenities.

Historic Fact

Cypress Pavilion was constructed in 1982 after the 1979 Master Plan was adopted, noting that another pavilion was needed.

Pavilion

Joske Pavilion

One of the most recognizable sites in Brackenridge Park is Joske Pavilion. Located in a quiet  loop of the river, Joske is one of the park’s signature structures. The pavilion has a distinct coursed stone structure with massive chimneys at north and south ends. The interior stone stairway with wrought iron railing takes you to a second-story balcony that overlooks the river. 

Historic Fact

Joske was built in 1926 thanks to a $10,000 bequest to the City from the estate of retailer Alexander Joske.

Pavilion

Koehler Pavilion

The Koehler Pavilion is conveniently located along the San Antonio River between the San Antonio Zoo and Cypress Pavilion. It is named for Emma Koehler of the Pearl Brewing family, who donated 11 acres to the City where alcohol could be served in this part of the park.
Historic Fact

The structure dates from the mid 1920s to late 1930s.

Theater

Sunken Garden Theater

This stunning open-air amphitheater was built in the 1930s and has been entertaining audiences ever since. Originally a rock quarry, it was transformed into a beautiful, sunken oasis that has hosted performances under the stars with its impressive stone walls, lush surroundings, and scenic views.

Japanese Tea Garden

This stunning garden is available for events. Its design reflects traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring lush landscaping, a waterfall, pagoda, koi-filled ponds, and walking paths.

Softball Field

Lambert Beach Softball Field

Lambert Beach Softball Field has been hosting players since 1950. It is located near the San Antonio River just below the Dionicio Rodriguez foot bridge.

Reservations are made through the City of San Antonio's Parks and Recreation Department.
Softball Field

Martinez Softball Field

Named after Tony “Skipper” Martinez, this field has been welcoming players since 1980. It is located just above the northwest corner of the driving range.
