Volunteer Day – Avenue B Litter Cleanup

Join us for a litter cleanup at the Brackenridge Park Conservancy main office on Saturday, January 10th to help maintain a healthy environment for people, plants, and wildlife! We will be cleaning up along the Avenue B park border. Parking is available in our office lot. All materials will be provided (gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers). Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes, sunblock, and bug spray.

Kayak Brack!

Join the Brackenridge Park Conservancy and River Aid San Antonio for a river cleanup and scavenger hunt!

Join us for our last volunteer event of 2025, and BPC’s first ever open to the public kayak cleanup. Help us keep the San Antonio River clean, and have fun with a scavenger hunt on the water!

  • Participants MUST provide their own kayak or canoe, and MUST have a life jacket or other personal flotation device.
  • Meeting location is by the river next to the pedestrian bridge, right across the road from the BPC office and the Joske Pavilion.
  • We will require all participants to sign a waiver on site before we begin.
  • Participants must be 18 or older.
  • Litter grabbers and bags will be provided.

Volunteer Event – 2025 San Antonio Marathon

A brand-new destination running experience, the San Antonio Marathon is crafted to celebrate the spirit and heritage of San Antonio—where every step tells a story. Rooted in the vibrant culture and community, this world-class event is brought to life through a collaboration between San Antonio Sports, the City of San Antonio, Visit San Antonio, Centro, and Olympic gold medalist-turned-marathon champion Meb Keflezighi.

Join the Brackenridge Park Conservancy on Sunday, December 7th at our office at 2611 Broadway as we manage Water Station #6 for the first ever San Antonio Marathon! Volunteers will choose between 2 shifts (5am-8am and 7am-11am) to help set up the water station and prepare the water, and then hand out water and electrolytes to runners as they pass by! Fun outfits and family-friendly costumes are encouraged!

Volunteer Day – Trail Loop Litter Cleanup CANCELLED

Due to the weather forecast for Thursday, Nov. 20, and expected scattered thunderstorms, our litter cleanup event at the Trail Loop has been cancelled. We appreciate your support and interest with our volunteer efforts, in collaboration with the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. Stay tuned for new and upcoming clean up events.

Join us at Brackenridge Park on Thursday, November 20th as we partner with SA Parks and Recreation for a litter cleanup to help maintain a healthy environment for people, plants, and wildlife. All materials will be provided (gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers). Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes, sunblock, and bug spray.

We will be going into the wooded areas of the park, so long pants and sturdy shoes are highly recommended.
