Join Brackenridge Park Conservancy for our 5th Annual Fall Family Fishing Day on Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Joske Pavilion and along the surrounding riverbank.
In preparation for the event, Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock the San Antonio River with more than 600 fish the day before, giving young anglers plenty of opportunities to make a catch!
We’re excited to once again partner with Fin Addict Angler Foundation, who will provide hands-on fishing lessons covering casting, reeling, and fishing basics. Participants are welcome to bring their own rod and bait, or Fin Addict will have rods, reels, and bait available to borrow for a $10 contribution.
Prizes will be awarded to anglers ages 16 and under for the first fish caught and largest fish caught.
Best of all, no fishing license is required during the event, courtesy of Texas Parks and Wildlife.
