Our annual Family Fishing Day has become such a beloved tradition that we’re excited to make it a bi-annual event starting this year! Join us for our Spring Family Fishing Day on April 11 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Joske Pavilion in Brackenridge Park.
This fun, family and friendly morning invites anglers of all ages to cast a line in the San Antonio River, with no fishing license required for the event. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or trying fishing for the very first time, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn something new.
We’re proud to partner with Fin Addicts, who will be on site offering free fishing lessons and sharing valuable education about fishing techniques, safety, and the importance of protecting our rivers. The San Antonio River Authority will also be joining us to help highlight the importance of caring for our local waterways.
Participants can compete for prizes including First Fish Caught and Longest Fish Caught—but you must be registered to participate in the contests. You can register HERE.
