Begin your Sunday with movement, mindfulness, and relaxation at Brackenridge Park. As part of our Fitness in the Park series, instructor Mike Graves is expanding our class lineup with Taijiquan (T’ai Chi Chuan) and Qigong (Chi Kung), the perfect way to prepare your mind and body before our popular monthly Community Sound Bath. The class will be held at the Joske Pavilion from 8:00am – 9:00am
This beginner-friendly class introduces the principles and practice of Taijiquan (T’ai Chi Chuan), Qigong (Chi Kung), and traditional Chinese exercises. Through gentle, flowing movements, deep breathing, and mindful meditation, participants will learn foundational concepts, philosophy, movement patterns, and exercises that promote relaxation, improve balance and body mechanics, increase focus, and cultivate mindfulness.
Together, these ancient practices encourage greater self-awareness, confidence, inner calm, and overall well-being. Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your practice, this class offers a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect, and recharge in the natural beauty of Brackenridge Park.
Stay after class and continue your wellness journey by joining our monthly Community Sound Bath immediately following Tai Chi. Together, they create the perfect Sunday morning of movement, meditation, and restoration.
