Brackenridge Park Conservancy presents Disco Alfresco
Dance the night away at Sunken Garden Theatre. The Brackenridge Park Conservancy hosts a summer series of outdoor dance parties under the stars. This week features a live house music DJ set by House Arrest. Food trucks and local vendors will also be on site. All ages are welcome. Tickets are available now. Disco Alfresco continues through July 30.

Since San Antonio started its public art program 30 years ago, our city has amassed an amazing collection of work from top-tier creators that liven up buildings, parks and even highway underpasses all over town.

The public art collection has grown to more than 800 works spread across all 10 City Council Districts, each offering an invigorating way for residents to tap into our community’s cultural DNA.

Each year, the Texas Cavaliers select a local organization as their charitable honoree — and this year, the entire city stands to benefit. The Brackenridge Park Conservancy has been named the 2026 honoree, a partnership aimed at keeping one of San Antonio’s most beloved green spaces thriving for generations to come.

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy is proud to announce its role as co-presenter, as Brackenridge Park is set to host the 40th Annual A Taste of New Orleans, presented by the San Antonio Zulu Association. The beloved Fiesta San Antonio celebration will be held on Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19 at the historic Sunken Garden Theater in the heart of Brackenridge Park.

An experienced fisherman will tell you fish bite more when it’s raining. With rain in the forecast for Saturday, conditions could be favorable for the first-ever Spring Family Fishing Day at Brackenridge Park, with fewer young anglers likely competing for the same fish.

The free event is hosted by the Brackenridge Park Conservancy and the Fin Addict Angler Foundation and expands on the success of the organizations’ annual fall fishing event. A limited number of loaner fishing poles and light equipment will be provided for junior anglers.

In a major step forward for a city bond project that languished for a decade and led to a lawsuit, a city panel on Wednesday approved a plan for improvements to Brackenridge Park.

The Historic and Design Review Commission gave city staff the green light for its request to begin work on a 2017 bond project approved by voters.

But the project scope approved by the commission includes only those elements in the second phase of the overall park improvement project, the separate phases having been established in 2024.
