Dance the night away at Sunken Garden Theatre. The Brackenridge Park Conservancy hosts a summer series of outdoor dance parties under the stars. This week features a live house music DJ set by House Arrest. Food trucks and local vendors will also be on site. All ages are welcome. Tickets are available now. Disco Alfresco continues through July 30.

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy is proud to announce its role as co-presenter, as Brackenridge Park is set to host the 40th Annual A Taste of New Orleans, presented by the San Antonio Zulu Association. The beloved Fiesta San Antonio celebration will be held on Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19 at the historic Sunken Garden Theater in the heart of Brackenridge Park.

Fishing, prizes and free lessons: Spring Family Fishing Day comes to Brackenridge Park Saturday

An experienced fisherman will tell you fish bite more when it’s raining. With rain in the forecast for Saturday, conditions could be favorable for the first-ever Spring Family Fishing Day at Brackenridge Park, with fewer young anglers likely competing for the same fish.

The free event is hosted by the Brackenridge Park Conservancy and the Fin Addict Angler Foundation and expands on the success of the organizations’ annual fall fishing event. A limited number of loaner fishing poles and light equipment will be provided for junior anglers.

Free Family Fishing Day returns to Brackenridge Park with prizes and lessons

SAN ANTONIO — A popular San Antonio tradition is expanding, giving families even more chances to enjoy the outdoors together.

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy is launching its inaugural Spring Family Fishing Day on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Joske Pavilion inside Brackenridge Park.

The free event builds on the success of the Conservancy’s fall fishing day and will now take place twice a year.

Long-delayed Brackenridge Park rehab plan gets moving with city panel OK

In a major step forward for a city bond project that languished for a decade and led to a lawsuit, a city panel on Wednesday approved a plan for improvements to Brackenridge Park.

The Historic and Design Review Commission gave city staff the green light for its request to begin work on a 2017 bond project approved by voters.

But the project scope approved by the commission includes only those elements in the second phase of the overall park improvement project, the separate phases having been established in 2024.

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy will host its third annual Polo in the Park event on Sunday, March 22, at the historic polo field inside Brackenridge Park.

The event, held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., will feature an exhibition match organized with the San Antonio Polo Club and First Tee – Greater San Antonio.
