Join Brackenridge Park Conservancy’s first ever invasive bamboo removal volunteer event! Help us cut down invasive bamboo growing in the park and prepare it for re-use for the San Antonio Zoo. We will be removing the bamboo growing along Avenue B. All materials will be provided (loppers, gloves, eye protection, and knee pads). Bring a water bottle, sunblock, and bug spray. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes. Parking will be available behind The Acorn School building.
Please Note: This event requires lifting of objects up to 20lbs in weight, kneeling on uneven ground, bending over, and navigating tripping hazards.
This event is only for participants 18 or older.
